Unearthed Publishes “Playing Augmented Reality Games on the Eve of a Mass-Extinction”

Unearthed, the online literary journal of SUNY’s College of Environmental Science and Forestry, just published Storey’s extensively titled work “Playing Augmented Reality Games on the Eve of a Mass-Extinction.” This piece juxtaposes Storey’s pursuit of fantastic creatures in the augmented reality game Harry Potter: Wizards Unite against a planet whose stock of real animals is rapidly dwindling and can be read in full on the website.

This is Storey’s third publication in the last three weeks and his 15th since last October. In a departure from New Orleans Uber vignettes, this essay is set in West Virginia and engages the environment and video games as key themes.

Many thanks to Tyler Flynn Dorholt and his team of students at SUNY-ESF for the selection and support!
