This abysmal ingredient had too much of an impact on my first days in 2001. I entered the year in Glasgow, & left the
year in Toronto, making it the only year that began & ended outside the country for me. Somehow, neither one of
those New Year's Days marked the apocalyspe. Just barely. In between, I had the best year of my life so far.
