Sweet Sweet Music
I don't know a whole ton about Egyptian music, but it could be the subject of future research. I doubt they had an
electric guitar, but given the Pyramids, we can't be sure.
Suffice it to say that I've usually liked "blue" music for most of the time that I've been able to appreciate music.
This doesn't mean The Blues per se (or at all), but rather music that's sad, or mellow, or depressing, or melancholy,
or however you want to spin it. Unlike Fish, I think it's okay for this music to have drums to be considered part of
this category. But maybe that's just me.
The Bob Dylan List is the traditional (read: old) section of this section. It's been
collecting a lot of dust lately as people are pretty much done submitting to said list. However, if you're getting
into Dylan, this has a whole lot of good places to start. & everyone who isn't already into Dylan should be getting
into Dylan, believe me.
The new stuff here (read: exciting!!) is the Concert List, which is just a list of all the
concerts I've been to. But there are many setlists, which true fans of bands like Dylan or Counting Crows or Hootie
might take an interest in. Yes, I like Hootie. But you don't have to to look at the setlists.
With an eye to the future, I might just make a list of my ten favorite discs (or albums, if you like). Maybe even a
top twenty. That could be a challenge. Though not as big a challenge as the top 50 songs that I tried to compile
a few years back. That ended in diz-naster.
That's all for now. Suggestions always welcome, & will be acted upon as time permits. It's not dark yet, but
it's getting there.
