-Well do you love your family? I think kill yourself.
-That's murder, not suicide. Just because the gun is in your hand doesn't make it suicide. Compare it to being killed at war...just going to war is kind of like suicide in a lot of cases if there's a pretty good chance you'll die. But people go to war to protect the things they care deeply about...if we don't call that suicide, then this circumstance certainly isn't either. So, to answer the question, yes. If you don't commit suicide, the sin of the murder of your family would be (in some convoluted way) on your hands. And since being murdered isn't the same as suicide, you wouldn't go to hell for it. So...pretty much the only way out of that one is to shoot yourself in the head.
-I think the gun to your head is a little superfluous....
-Well, technically, that would be self-sacrifice, placing the interests of others ahead of your own, albeit an extreme example of such an act. So, technically, it would be justified should you do it. However, in actuality, the question isn't really should, but could you kill yourself for your family?
-Go ahead and die, but know that I hate you.
-No selfless act will go unrewarded. Similarly, no evil will go unpunished. So if you end your own life as an act of self-sacrifice, you will be rewarded; but if it is selfish, it will be punished. Only the state of your heart determines the nature of sin. Follow the heart, and you will know what you must do.
-It's a lose-lose situation. No matter what, somebody suffers.
-No, kill your family instead.
-I've got your back; even if you die, trust me. And as for the murderer, there's nowhere he can hide from me.
-Are you... speaking from experience?
