-I think you've mistaken me for Hammurabi, king of Babylon. "An eye for an eye" was part of his law.
-I changed my mind.
-Actions have consequences. Murder is wrong. Carrying out consequences for law-breaking is justice.
-Because the Bible was written by man, and man is hypocritical. And isn't that just a cool phrase to use anyway? An eye for an eye. It just sounds nice.
-It was not supposed to be recorded, just like the "holy grail" you look for. However, there was a leak and now capital punishment takes advantage of that.
-It was supposed to be an opinion for an opinion, but very few people speak my language.
-Eye-for-eye is not murder. It's the first lesson in justice. It makes you eager for lessons in mercy.
